Established in 2000, the School of International Education and Exchange is one of the earliest departments in Hebei Province to initiate Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. It officially became a secondary school in 2017 and serves as a comprehensive institution focusing on international student education and various language training programs for overseas studies. The school integrates degree programs, language skill training, and short-term overseas study programs into its framework. In June 2024, the university established the Center of International Education Exchange and Cooperation Center, which operates jointly with the School of International policies and overseeing the university’s international cooperation and exchange initiatives.

Since 2000, the university has established friendly partnerships with multiple higher education institutions in countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom, South Korea, New Zealand, Italy, Russia, and the United States. These collaborations span various fields, including cooperative education programs, student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and academic interactions. The School of International Education and Exchange has frequently organized and hosted student delegations from overseas universities for visits and exchanges at our institution. Starting in 2014, the school began enrolling international students from countries such as Zimbabwe, Pakistan, South Korea, Russia, and South Africa, offering undergraduate degree programs and exchange programs. The first cohort of degree-seeking students graduated in January 2019, receiving undergraduate diplomas and degree certificates in an English-taught Law program. In 2020, two of our courses, International Law and Chinese Culture, were recognized as Hebei Province’s Brand Courses for English-Medium Instruction for International Students.

Since 2014, student exchange opportunities have expanded through inter-university cooperation programs, with an increasing number of students participating in exchange programs at universities in South Korea, Russia, Malaysia, and other countries. Additionally, the university selects outstanding graduates to pursue master’s degree programs under scholarship initiatives abroad and organizes faculty delegations for overseas training, demonstrating the vibrancy and diversity of our international cooperation and exchange efforts.
